Treatment options for vaginal dryness and painful intercourse

Regular sexual stimulation

Prescription:

Vaginal estrogen

Administered as:
- Cream applied daily or two or three times weekly,
- Tablet daily or twice weekly,
- Insert daily or twice weekly or
- Sustained-release ring inserted every 3 months.

These treatment options have the potential to cause side effects and may not be suitable for everyone.

Lubricants, moisturizers and prescription therapies can be combined.
